Andrea Williams | 5th Grade

Hello! My name is Andrea Williams and this is my 5th year teaching at Sacred Heart School. Previously, I worked in the Faith Formation department over in the Parish Office for 3 years prior to that while I went back to school! I grew up in Reedsburg with my 3 sisters and parents. My dad was the band director for 18 years and girls softball coach for 15 years! During those years I attended Sacred Heart Church and even went to school here at SHS for 1st grade. In my early 20’s, I followed my parents up to the Fox Valley when my dad took a new teaching job in Neenah. In Oshkosh, on a blind date, is where I met my husband Andy and had my 3 handsome boys. Drew is in college at UWSP studying Music Education, Adam is a Sophomore at RAHS and Anthony is in 5th grade here at SHS. I have worked with children in the Faith Formation programs here and in Oshkosh since I was 14 years old! That’s right,. This is my 31st year in Faith Formation of some kind! While working with the Faith Formation program in Oshkosh I also spent a short time in banking and when I had my children, I decided to homeschool them (my heart has always been in education). We homeschooled for 4 years in Oshkosh/Fox Valley area and met some of our dearest friends! When we moved back to Reedsburg, we homeschooled for 2 years but it just wasn’t the same in a smaller town. I am so glad that was the case because putting my kids all in SHS and taking the job in the Parish Office put me on the trajectory of going back to school, getting my degree and getting into the classroom! I love teaching at Sacred Heart School! I love knowing every student in the building and their families to boot! The family atmosphere is what I loved about homeschooling and our group in Appleton and what I love about teaching at SHS. I have recently (October 1) started my Master’s Degree! It’s always school for me!
